Dear Friends,
My family is enjoying being back on the road and reporting to you—our faithful partners in ministry. We love sharing what God has done and is doing for His glory. Through prayer and counsel, we believe God would have us depart for the Czech Republic the first part of September this year. Our calendar is filled with meetings between now and then. We would love to be able to visit each of you, but time doesn’t afford us that opportunity. In the numerous churches we have visited since our last letter, we have been overwhelmed with the number of people that have taken time to share how they faithfully pray for our family.
In two weeks we will be taking our survey trip to the Czech Republic. We have sought the Lord diligently regarding this trip, and we will be working to accomplish three key things:
- Better understand the spiritual status of the country from missionaries John and Emily Rettig who have ministered in the Czech Republic for 25 years
- Visit with Czech believers and personally learn of their burden for their country
- Examine the cost of living and ministry expenses for starting a church in Prague
This list is not exhaustive by any stretch, but we would appreciate your prayer for wisdom and understanding concerning these specific goals. After our survey trip, we will be able to finish our new video presentation. A link to the new video will be provided in our next update.
We are also blessed to report that our level of support is remaining strong. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and financial partnership as we press on in the race for Christ and His Glory! I leave you with two verses from Scripture that are very precious to Abby and me, “Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.”—Psalms 73:24–25
